Open Participation in Organizations (OPO)

Core principles and practices for self-managed, high performance teams.

We in CTL and LOS Norway are inviting you to a foundations course in Open Participatory Organizations with Bonnitta Roy, 22nd – 24th February, in Trondheim, Norway. About 15 years ago, a group of people in the tech sector, set out to prove that basic principles promoting self-organization in teams would engage people more fully, inspire more innovation, and enhance performance. Their ideas became known as the agile movement. The OPO takes this movement further. It offers a vision based on core principles and practices that extend self-organization beyond operational teams and into the domains of organizational leadership, strategic design, distributed decision-making, and a participatory governance. It serves as a toolkit to help scale agile practices across multiple fronts
  • how to design teams-of-teams that remain flexible, responsive and innovative
  • how to build strategic depth between operational teams and leadership
  • how to shift from the notion of individual leader to emergent leadership
  • in this course we are able to offer you a three day course exploring the open participation in organizations

In this foundations course you will meet Bonnitta Roy, awarded author, public speaker and founder of Open Participatory Organization. Her work addresses the practical needs we humans have, and the challenges we encounter in education, business and management
